Found on a fleemarket

They just hang there quiet,
in a little corner of my house.
Found them on a fleemarket
and fell in love at first sight.

Someone made them once,
in a time, wich has long gone
and they were sold to one,
who's heart was touched.

Wonder where they've been,
how many homes they visited.
Maybe put away for a while,
in a dusty chest at the attic.

So many things they've seen,
witnessed happiness and pain.
What stories would they tell,
if they were able to speak.

They just hang there quietly,
smiles on their childish faces.
I hope someday, when I'm gone,
they'll find a quiet corner again.
